Board Beat turns that starting point into a practical plan for an adult celebration, with styling, entertainment and a programme chosen for the people you are inviting.
We work with groups of up to 50 guests. Some hosts want an organised evening with a welcome, activities and a clear celebration moment. Others prefer a loose rhythm with plenty of room to talk. Both approaches can work: the important part is agreeing the flow so that guests understand the occasion and you do not have to direct every transition.
Tell us what matters most. It might be a statement photo backdrop, a beautiful dinner setting or hosted casino-themed entertainment that gets different friendship groups talking. We help identify the strongest focal points and build around those rather than turning a theme into a long list of disconnected decorations.

A Gatsby-inspired evening can combine Art Deco geometry, vintage-style furniture and a dressed table. A masquerade can use dramatic lighting, decorative masks and layered backdrops. A Hollywood direction can give guests an arrival moment with red-carpet styling and a cinema-inspired photo area. The result should feel intentional at the scale of your room.
For a lighter atmosphere, consider tropical greenery, colourful floral installations or a retro music zone and photo backdrop. A winter wonderland uses pale décor and sparkling light; a carnival-inspired celebration can organise the room into distinct activity areas. We discuss the theme in terms of guest experience and venue suitability before deciding on specific pieces.
The programme connects the setting to the occasion. Arrival, introductions, food, a speech or cake moment, entertainment and an unhurried close each need the right amount of space. A host can help guide the evening where that is part of the brief. We leave room for conversation and allow the guest of honour to enjoy the event rather than manage it.
A COMFORTABLE EXPERIENCEEvery guest
Every guest
belongs in the plan.
A private home, restaurant room or hired venue brings different possibilities. Send the location, photographs and any access information. We consider delivery, furniture placement, circulation, noise rules and the time available for setup. Large props or tables are confirmed only once their suitability for the space is understood.
Guest needs can shape the programme. Tell us about mobility requirements, seating preferences, quieter spaces and activities that would not be welcome. Participation does not need to be compulsory. A balance of social and hosted areas gives people different ways to enjoy the occasion without dividing the group into participants and spectators.
Programmes can run up to 9 hours, with shorter formats planned around your occasion. Your proposal records the actual duration, décor, staffing and equipment. Catering, venue hire, travel outside local assumptions and specialist performers are separate unless expressly included. We also agree pack-down timing so that the end of the celebration works for both you and the venue.

Themed private production starts indicatively from NZ$1,800 for a focused celebration for up to 20 guests, with a concept, one styled focal area and local setup and pack-down. Hosted casino tables are priced separately.
The final scope, GST treatment, travel and any additional costs are confirmed in a written proposal. Published figures are indicative planning amounts, not fixed quotes.

Can I bring my own theme idea?
Yes. Describe the feeling you want and any references you like. We will discuss how the idea translates into the venue, programme and budget.
Do you organise adult birthdays?
Yes. Themed adult birthdays and milestone celebrations fit the private event service. The 20+ business policy applies to the service.
Can we host at home?
We can discuss a home setup, subject to the available space, access and selected production. Photographs and measurements help us assess what is practical.
Can we use our own caterer?
Yes. Tell us who is involved so timings and responsibilities can be coordinated. Catering is not automatically included in our starting prices.
Can some guests simply watch or socialise?
Yes. We can include seating and social areas and make activity participation optional. Tell us about the group so the plan feels welcoming.
