Board Beat organises casino-themed evenings with professional tables, hosts, dealers, décor and lighting selected for your event. The atmosphere can feel elegant, lively or relaxed, without asking guests to arrive with any knowledge of the activities.
For a corporate group, this format can sit after an informal welcome or alongside a dinner programme. For private hosts, it can become the focus of a birthday or themed celebration. A host establishes the pace, explains how to move between activities and helps guests feel included. Dealers look after the table experience so that you can enjoy the occasion rather than explain the format yourself.
We plan for up to 50 guests. The number of tables depends on whether everyone participates at once, rotates in smaller groups or joins casually between conversations. A compact venue may suit fewer tables and generous social space; a larger room can accommodate a more structured rotation. We discuss those choices before specifying the equipment.

The arrival matters. Guests need somewhere to settle, meet the host and understand what is happening. A short introduction can lead into a relaxed first round, followed by open social time or a change of activity. For dinner events, we arrange the programme around the venue’s meal service rather than competing with it. Speeches and photographs receive their own clear moment.
Roulette-style, blackjack-style and poker-themed tables create different social rhythms. Some support quick introductions; others encourage a group to stay together for longer. We recommend a combination after discussing guest interests and the available floor area. Participation can remain optional, with comfortable space for those who prefer conversation.
Brand colours, a backdrop or an entrance feature can make the setting feel connected to your company or occasion. These elements are considered alongside lighting, host presentation and the overall theme. A single well-executed focal point can be more effective than adding decoration to every surface.

Share a floor plan or photographs of the venue when you enquire. Access routes, lifts, loading areas, doors, power points and the timing of other suppliers all affect the setup. We need sufficient space for the tables, dealers and guests to move comfortably, with exits and circulation routes kept clear. The final layout is agreed for the actual venue.
Programmes can run up to 9 hours, but a longer event is not simply a longer table session. It may need meal breaks, additional hosting and different activity periods. Staffing and equipment are quoted for the agreed running time. Setup and pack-down are scheduled separately, including any collection arrangements imposed by the venue.
Your proposal identifies the tables, staffing, activity duration, styling and local logistics selected. Venue hire, catering, performers and travel outside the agreed local assumptions are separate unless included explicitly. If you already have an event planner, we can define the themed-entertainment contribution and agree who owns each handover.

Casino-themed entertainment starts indicatively from NZ$1,200 for a compact two-table, two-dealer session of around two hours for up to 20 guests, with normal local setup and pack-down.
The final scope, GST treatment, travel and any additional costs are confirmed in a written proposal. Published figures are indicative planning amounts, not fixed quotes.

Can beginners take part?
Yes. Dealers introduce the activities and support guests as they join. A welcoming, unhurried introduction is part of planning the hosted format.
How many tables do we need?
That depends on the guest count, room and participation pattern. Tell us whether the activity is the main focus or an optional part of dinner so we can recommend a layout.
Can this fit around a company dinner?
Yes. We coordinate activity periods with speeches, meal service and venue access. Send the existing programme if you have one.
Can we bring company branding?
Share approved artwork and the desired applications. Backdrops, signage and other custom pieces are priced separately when they go beyond the agreed base styling.
Is this suitable for a home?
Possibly, subject to space, access and the chosen equipment. We assess the layout before confirming a home setup.
